Drop Test
The laptop is dropped from a variety of angles to determine the durability of various components.
Bending Test
Test the rigidity of the board and assembled touch panel to identify breaking point.
Hinge open-close Test
The display is opened and closed continuously to identify damage to the hinge torque or components.
Keyboard Test
Materials similar to the human fingertip are used to check the durability of the keys.
Highly Accelerated Life Test
Each of our laptops is subject to Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), which simulates three years of use. Only those that pass this rigorous test meet Dynabook’s standards. We can identify the weak point and provide feedback from the test to the design and manufacture team.
Qualmark – mark of quality used in avionics electronic equipment
We adopted inspection system from Qualmark, the leading expert in reliability testing equipment in medical, automotive and avionic field where high reliability is paramount.
TUV
Stress tests on Dynabook laptops are conducted by an independent third party, the TUV Rheinland Group, a global leader in quality and safety certification.
DROP TEST
Test Criteria: System drop on the steel plate drop tested at 76.2cm on 4 surfaces
Result: Machine can be booted up, No cracks on LCD, No signal pattern crack
30cc SPILL TEST
Test Criteria: Spilled 30cc of water onto keyboard areas
Result: System continuous to work for 30 minutes allowing for proper shutdown
THE PRESSURE TEST
Test Criteria: Applied 100kgf pressure with a steel plate on the notebook PCs
Result: Machine can be booted up, No cracks on LCD
