What is recovery media and why should I create it?

A recovery image containing the pre-installed operating system, original drivers and pre-installed applications is stored (if applicable) on the hard drive of your computer. This is used to restore the computer back to factory default settings if and when required. A copy of this recovery image can be created on to external media as a back-up in the event that the primary recovery image becomes un-usable or the hard drive is changed. Toshiba highly recommends our customers to create the recovery media soon after a Toshiba computer has been purchased.

Also ensure the recovery media is available to the Toshiba authorised service provider when requested during service.

For instructions on how to create the recovery media refer to the following link
