Toshiba introduces next generation notebooks with AMD Fusion Technology

26 July 2011

HD graphics and high speed computing define new Satellite notebook range

Sydney, AUSTRALIA – 26 July 2011. Toshiba’s latest range of notebooks powered by AMD’s new high-performance, dual and quad core processors will launch in Australia in August.

Consumers will experience faster, high quality graphics and longer battery life thanks to AMD’s Fusion A-series APUs (Accellerated Processing Units) that will feature in Toshiba’s three new Satellite L750D notebooks.

The new AMD A-series APUs are the next generation of computing, combining the processing power of the APU’s discrete-class graphics with an external graphics card, working together in what is known as Dual Graphics technology.

Dual Graphics technology delivers a major improvement in graphics quality. The new APUs also feature faster speeds and reduced power consumption, ultimately leading to longer battery life.

“The notebook has become a multimedia machine in the eyes of today’s consumers,” said Anthony Geronimo, B2C Product Marketing Manager, Toshiba Information Systems Division (ISD).

“This is what makes AMD’s new Dual Graphics technology so exciting – not only does it increase notebook performance by offering a lifelike gaming experience and lag-free videos, the APU also delivers the ultimate in multimedia performance.”

“The Toshiba Satellite L750D series will be some of the first products in the local market to feature AMD’s new A-Series APUs, introducing a richer computing experience for consumers,” Mr Geronimo added.
